About RobotAspirateurs
RobotAspirateurs started from a simple observation: picking a robot vacuum has turned into a headache. There are dozens of models, spec sheets that oversell, and prices that swing from one week to the next. Our job is to save you time with honest comparisons, sorted by what you actually need.
Meet Aspi, our mascot
“I cross-check official manufacturer spec sheets, verified customer reviews and the prices you actually pay, and I tell you which of those numbers mean nothing.”
Who is Aspi?
Aspi 🤖 is the editorial mascot of RobotAspirateurs, and the little sister of Tooli, the mascot of our sister site Toolizy. Aspi is a character, not a fake tester: when we write “Aspi recommends,” it means “our comparison method leads to this recommendation.” We will never stage a fake lab or fake hands-on sessions to impress you.
How we compare, in practice
No fake lab, just a rigorous method you can check. For every comparison, we cross-check:
- Official manufacturer spec sheets, separating the useful numbers from the marketing;
- Verified customer reviews, in volume, to spot the flaws that keep coming up (brush rolls that tangle, glitchy apps, customer support that never answers);
- User manuals and manufacturer documentation, to judge real-world upkeep and the cost of replacement parts;
- Prices actually checked and dated, never inflated “list prices.”
Every robot is judged on the same six criteria: battery life, navigation, suction power, maintenance, app and real price. The details are on our recommended robot vacuums page, and the pen names that sign our articles are introduced on the team page.
Who publishes RobotAspirateurs?
RobotAspirateurs is published by JS, an independent publisher based in Belgium. He picks the topics, checks the information before it goes live and answers the email: contact@robotaspirateurs.fr.
Our honesty pledge
- We say what doesn’t work, too. Every recommendation lists the drawbacks, not just the strengths.
- No inflated scores. An average robot is called average, even when it’s popular.
- Our reviews are not for sale. No brand pays to appear in our picks. The site earns money through affiliate links, and everything is explained on our affiliate disclosure page.
- We fix mistakes. A reported error is checked and corrected, with an update note.
